Terms and Conditions

Rules for using ChatAudit for free and digital analysis reports.

Last updated: 30 May 2026

This English version is provided for your convenience. The German version is the original version, subject to mandatory consumer protection and data protection rights that may apply in your country.

1. Provider and Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of ChatAudit, an offering by Steiner Online Services. Full provider and contact details are available in the imprint.

ChatAudit is available at chataudit.io. Contact: hello@chataudit.io.

The offering is intended for adult consumers. It is not intended for use as a business, consulting, therapy, diagnostic or compliance tool.

2. Description of ChatAudit

ChatAudit analyzes exported chat histories, in particular from WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage, and provides automated interpretations of communication patterns. ChatAudit is completely free to use.

The analysis is automated and based on technical communication and timing patterns.

3. No Professional Advice

ChatAudit does not replace psychological, psychotherapeutic, medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. Analysis results may provide indications and conversation prompts but are not a diagnosis, therapy recommendation or binding assessment.

If you are in a crisis, experiencing violence, control, stalking, self-harm risk or another acute burden, please contact appropriate professional or public authorities in your country.

4. Minimum Age

Use of ChatAudit is permitted only for persons aged 18 or older. Minors may not use ChatAudit.

5. Your Responsibility for Uploaded Chats

You may upload and analyze only chat histories in which you participated or for which you have sufficient permission. You are responsible for respecting the rights, privacy and reasonable expectations of other people.

You may not unlawfully publish or share analysis results, chat excerpts or personal information of other people, or use them for harassment, surveillance, manipulation, discrimination or harm.

6. Local Processing and Data Loss

ChatAudit processes chat contents locally in your browser. Your chat contents are not transmitted to our servers. Local data may be lost if you delete it, upload a new chat and overwrite the old one, clear browser storage, change devices or your browser automatically removes local data.

You are responsible for safely keeping original chat exports if you want to use them again later.

7. Permitted Use

You may not misuse ChatAudit. Prohibited activities include unlawful content or acts, infringements of third-party rights, circumvention of technical safeguards, automated scraping, attacks on infrastructure, reverse engineering outside mandatory legal permissions and any use for surveillance, threats or harm to others.

We may use technical safeguards, limit requests and refuse or restrict access to features where there is a reasonable suspicion of abuse, security risks or legal violations.

8. No Public Content and No Community

ChatAudit currently does not provide user accounts, public profiles, community forums, comments, likes or private messages between users. User content is not published publicly on ChatAudit.

If such features are introduced later, the terms and privacy information will be updated accordingly.

9. Rights in ChatAudit

ChatAudit, the software, design, texts, analysis logic, trademarks, graphics and other content are legally protected. You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use ChatAudit for private purposes under these terms.

We do not acquire ownership rights in your chat contents. Because chat contents are processed locally, we generally do not receive access to these contents.

10. Availability and Changes

We strive to operate ChatAudit reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or continuous availability. Features may be developed, adjusted or discontinued if legitimate user interests are appropriately considered.

Because ChatAudit is offered free of charge, features may be changed at any time.

11. Warranty and Liability

ChatAudit is provided with reasonable care. Analysis results depend on the quality, scope, format and context of the uploaded chat. We do not warrant that analysis results are complete, error-free, conclusive or suitable for a specific personal decision.

To the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for direct damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct. Liability for indirect damages, consequential damages, lost benefits, emotional decisions based on the analysis or data loss in local browser storage is excluded to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory law remains unaffected, in particular for personal injury, fraud or mandatory consumer rights.

12. International Consumer Rights

ChatAudit is offered internationally. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom or another country, you may have mandatory local consumer rights. These terms do not exclude such mandatory rights.

Depending on the country, special information duties, warranty rights, digital-content rules, court jurisdictions or complaint rights may apply.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, unless mandatory consumer or data protection rules provide otherwise.

To the extent legally permitted, the place of jurisdiction is the providerโ€™s seat in Kriens or the competent courts in the Canton of Lucerne, Switzerland. For consumers, mandatory courts at the place of residence or other mandatory local protections may apply; these remain reserved.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may amend these Terms and Conditions if ChatAudit, features, legal requirements or technical processes change. The current version is available at chataudit.io.
